it's Nice to meet you!

I was raised in a family of educators, my father a middle school teacher and administrator, and my mother a high school teacher and guidance counselor, in a rural, underserved area. As such, the importance of a good education has been instilled into me since childhood.  I received a Bachelor of Arts from Colorado State University, and during my undergraduate tenure, spent a year in Japan working for a non-profit educational organization.  I also have an Associate of Applied Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Currently, I am working towards a Master of Public Administration from The Evergreen State College.

I spent several years in banking and finance as a commercial account manager and a mortgage lender.  In these capacities, I was responsible for managing multi-million-dollar accounts and initiating, processing, evaluating and finalizing loans.  I have also worked in higher education managing multiple grants, requiring the maintenance of accurate records and reporting.

I am grateful to have been able to substitute teach at Griffin. I have watched children grow and flourish as they attend Griffin, and I have witnessed first-hand the talent and dedication of Griffin teachers, staff and administration.

Meet my family

My husband, Eric, and I have been married since 2006 and are blessed with two amazing children, Willa (7th grade) and Rusher (4th grade). Both of our kids love attending Griffin!

As a family, we enjoy exploring the outdoors: camping, fishing, hiking, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, skiing, snowshoeing, and roasting s'mores around the campfire.  I have had the privilege of coaching both of them in Little Cougars Basketball, cheering them on in soccer, and proudly watching them act with Pacific Northwest Theater.
